Key Responsibilities:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues within residential units, including:
    • Addressing plumbing concerns such as leaks in faucets and toilets
    • Repairing or replacing window coverings and closet doors
    • Performing minor electrical repairs, including lighting and smoke detectors
    • Conducting basic repairs on drywall and building structures
    • Executing minor caulking tasks for sinks and tubs
    • Handling small appliance repairs

This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, focusing on preventing future issues in our historic and aging properties.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical tasks.
  • Possession of a Special Boiler's License or willingness to obtain one within six months.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid Driver's License and compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Ability to work on a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Familiarity with mobile applications for work order management and information retrieval.
  • Capacity to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods in various environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in multi-housing maintenance is preferred.
