About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at Particle Measuring Systems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our global systems.

Responsibilities
  • Establish clear escalation procedures for technical support across our global operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Communicate with internal associates and team members for efficient resolution.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the support team in delivering the IT support operating model.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers as required.
  • Document and track customer issues and resolutions.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of IT support processes and procedures.
  • Manage AD (Active Directory) users and groups, permissions, and Microsoft Exchange email systems.
  • Provide support for our Microsoft 365/Azure environment with emphasis on Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint applications.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure environment.
  • Understanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinker and curiosity for technology.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing team.
  • Team player and excellent customer service.
Required Skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven work experience with Microsoft Server technologies including Active Directory, File/Folder Permissions, Print Management, Remote Desktop, etc.
  • Experience with working with Hypervisor technology (Hyper-V and VMware).
  • Experience with cloud-based technology and applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise and Online).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and SharePoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement emerging technologies.
  • Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with network infrastructure and security.
  • Familiarity with database management systems.
  • Experience with ITIL service management framework.
Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending account, and onsite wellness clinic. Our pay range is $70,000-85,000 depending on experience.

We determine pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data for the Boulder, Colorado area. We will evaluate external equity and make competitive offers between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range.
