Position Overview

The Sales Estimator role is a vital position within our organization, responsible for enhancing the customer experience both in the home and in our showroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients in their homes or in the showroom to fully understand their requirements.
  • Proactively recommend our products and services that align with customer needs.
  • Set and manage realistic expectations for customers.
  • Accurately measure spaces to ensure precise pricing and ordering.
  • Create clear and accurate shop drawings for quotes and projects as necessary.
  • Prepare and present professional quotations to clients promptly.
  • Document all pertinent details regarding the customer and job site to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, including the front office and installation teams, to ensure project success.
  • Input relevant information into the company’s sales software in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with clients regarding pending sales quotes proactively.
  • Maintain communication with vendors, including ordering materials for sold projects.
  • Conduct follow-ups with customers after installation to confirm satisfaction with the products and services provided.
  • Generate leads through effective promotion of our offerings at various events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential glass (including glazing, ordering, estimating, or project management).
  • Experience in in-home sales is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with estimating, fabricating, or installing residential glass products.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
