Strategic Channel Sales Manager - B2B (Northeast and Mid-Atlantic)

Collaborate closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and sales leadership to define and execute the expansion of our new construction initiatives and offerings.

This position is primarily focused on the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic regions, with an emphasis on identifying and developing new business opportunities. Your role will involve navigating the entire sales pipeline: establishing new market relationships, crafting proposals with detailed scope and pricing, and finalizing contracts. Compensation structure is 50% base salary and 50% commission, aligning with standard sales development roles.

Currently, geothermal HVAC represents less than 1% of the new construction sector, presenting an almost limitless opportunity. The ideal candidate will be motivated by this expansive potential and prepared to engage in the challenging work of penetrating this market.

This role operates in a hybrid model, with a base in our headquarters. Our vibrant office environment is conveniently located near public transportation, making it easily accessible from various regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish, achieve, and surpass quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Identify and develop a prospective customer list; build and nurture your own customer pipeline both regionally and nationally.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of new sales tools, marketing materials, and messaging.
  • Engage with developers, engineers, architects, and trade partners to effectively communicate our value proposition along with the technical specifications of system design, construction processes, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Formulate comprehensive value propositions that consider regional and federal incentives, energy savings, and the long-term benefits of geothermal ownership and utilization.
  • Prepare proposals, including pricing and presentations.
  • Present preliminary and final contract estimates and proposals to clients, driving towards signed agreements.
  • Coordinate with the production management team to ensure successful installations with well-defined, priced, and estimated projects. Advocate for excellence from initial engagement to final system commissioning to foster repeat business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven B2B sales success, ideally within the construction or energy sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in building a sales pipeline and generating leads independently.
  • Prior success in managing and forecasting personal sales and pipeline targets.
  • Proficiency with software and technology; experience with electronic communication platforms, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and project management tools.
  • General understanding of the residential land development, HVAC, and construction industries, including regulatory environments.
  • Experience in a fast-paced sales environment where proactive selling is essential, rather than merely processing orders.
Compensation: OTE: $160K; 50% base / 50% commission
