Job Summary

Community Residences is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive living environment for our clients, while also promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to address clients' unique needs and goals.
  3. Monitor clients' physical and behavioral health, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervisor or program manager.
  4. Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and household chores, while maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  5. Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities with clients.
  6. Participate in mandatory training and in-services, including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Certification.
Requirements

Must have a valid CT driver's license and a good driving record. Associate's Degree preferred, with at least one year of experience in the Human Services field. Must be able to attend all required training and in-servicing.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess good to excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate thoroughness and effective follow-through on daily work assignments. Display motivation and interest in improving the quality of life for the population served.
