About the Role

This position plays a critical role in the success of Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline's Information Technology department. As a GIS Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, developing, and supporting our ESRI GIS systems to enhance company efficiency, regulatory compliance, responsiveness, and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Supports the technology objectives of the company by designing, analyzing, developing, implementing, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and supporting our ESRI GIS systems.
  • Business Partnerships: Partners with business departments, vendors, and developers to translate business needs into technology solutions.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Develops a solid understanding of applications being supported, increases knowledge of Information Technology methodologies, tools, and techniques, and draws on analytical experience to develop a variety of solutions for moderately complex problems.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adheres to department values, policies, procedures, methodologies, and security and/or confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience in ESRI GIS tools, experience with database design and SQL querying, strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, analytical and organization skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Major in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or similar technical degree, experience with ESRI APR (including branch versioning), UPDM data model, Utility Network, and ESRI Mobile solutions, experience with Programming or Scripting languages, experience with Web Services (WCF, WebAPI, or REST), project management experience a plus.
