The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Senior User Researcher in conducting user research studies, including recruiting and scheduling participants, ensuring participant compliance with study protocols, and engaging with participants before, during, and after studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and schedule participants for user studies, ensuring a diverse and representative pool of participants
  • Ensure participant compliance with study protocols, including obtaining informed consent and ensuring participants understand the study procedures
  • Engage with participants before, during, and after studies, providing clear instructions and ensuring a positive experience
  • Setup and break down study session areas, ensuring a comfortable and distraction-free environment for participants
  • Assist with study facilitation, including recording, note-taking, and data collection
  • Assist with data review and clean-up, ensuring accurate and reliable data
  • Assist with preparing and communicating results to stakeholder teams and archiving results
  • Help troubleshoot and maintain study lab equipment, ensuring it is in good working order
  • Track and report on the status of a portfolio of projects in progress, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human factors, cognitive or experimental psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field
  • Previous work experience requiring high engagement with people, including qualitative user research experience and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, team members, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Ability to problem-solve and create processes and tools to increase efficiency and improve study outcomes
  • Familiarity with Mac products and ecosystem is a plus
