Position Overview:
The Program Operations Manager will oversee customer service, quality assurance, and cost management concerning products sourced from third-party manufacturers. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Revlon and contract manufacturing operations in North America, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The Manager will be responsible for all facets of commercial and manufacturing operations at designated sites, including logistics, capacity planning, inventory management, quality assurance, and cost negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Revlon's growth by identifying and implementing cost-saving and value-enhancing initiatives.
- Negotiate all commercial terms with third-party manufacturers, including pricing and contracts.
- Establish standard budgets and proactively address any variance issues.
- Identify and evaluate potential manufacturing partners based on product specifications and marketing strategies.
- Manage open purchase orders with third-party manufacturers effectively.
- Collaborate with Operations Planning to conduct weekly comprehensive site reviews.
- Lead key strategic initiatives to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Participate in the bidding process for new product launches to ensure timely innovation delivery.
- Oversee critical Revlon programs and site development efforts.
- Ensure performance metrics are met, including unit fill rates, on-time launches, and cost targets.
- Adapt strategies and tactics as necessary to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop market knowledge to facilitate rapid benchmarking and selection of alternative contract sites.
- Conduct ongoing analyses of total supply costs.
- Propose and implement cost improvement strategies.
- Formulate plans to reduce lead times and manage inventory levels at contract sites.
- Review capacity analyses of contract sites regularly.
- Supervise the implementation of product and process changes at third-party manufacturing sites.
- Ensure that contract site personnel are well-informed of Revlon's operational and quality standards.
- Represent the third-party manufacturing organization in new product launch meetings.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing relationships with external manufacturers and driving cost improvements.
- At least 3 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with supervisory experience being a plus.
- Proficiency in financial assessments and project recommendations is essential.
- Strong analytical and risk mitigation skills are necessary.
- Proficient in MRP, ERP, and Excel systems.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Process Excellence tools is preferred.
- Project Management experience is required, with certifications such as PMP and APICS being advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills are crucial, along with the ability to work independently in a matrix organization.
- Experience in the Consumer Products sector, particularly in health and beauty, is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline is preferred; an MBA is a plus.
