About the Role:


Are you an analytical thinker with a strong background in steel estimation? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of a Full-Time Steel Estimator, where you will be responsible for delivering precise and competitive bids for various steel projects.

In this position, you will work closely with project managers and engineers to assess project requirements and devise cost-effective strategies.

Your expertise in steel estimation will be crucial in ensuring the success of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Steel Estimator, you will face a dynamic and stimulating work environment daily.

Your main duties will include interpreting project specifications and drawings, conducting material take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for steel-related projects.

You will liaise with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather essential information, ensuring the accuracy of your estimates.

Analytical thinking and attention to detail are paramount, as you will evaluate project needs, explore pricing alternatives, and provide recommendations to optimize costs.

Staying updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and new technologies will also be part of your responsibilities, guiding your decision-making process.

As a full-time employee, your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Qualifications:
To thrive in this position, you will need a solid skill set and familiarity with relevant software and tools. A meticulous approach is essential, as you will be responsible for detailed material take-offs and cost estimations. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is crucial for creating comprehensive project layouts and collaborating with architects and engineers. Familiarity with construction estimation software, such as Bluebeam or On-Screen Takeoff, is highly advantageous.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also critical for effective collaboration with project teams, suppliers, and clients. You should possess the ability to negotiate and work together to gather accurate information, ensuring successful project outcomes. A customer-oriented mindset is essential, as you will be tasked with delivering cost-effective solutions that align with client expectations.
