About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Lead to join our team at Bareburger. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for managing the Back of House Team and ensuring the highest level of food quality and menu adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies, food, and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demand, and maintain acceptable inventory levels.
  • Staff Management: Hire, onboard, and train kitchen staff in specific stations, and cross-train as necessary.
  • Scheduling: Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Schedule and oversee necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances and space.
  • Back Office Functions: Learn and manage all back office functions and systems.
  • Food Preparation: Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items, and collaborate with kitchen cooks to prepare meals received through multiple 3rd party platforms.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain accurate food inventories, properly store food items at appropriate temperatures, and rotate stock items as per established procedures.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure that the kitchen is restocked for subsequent shifts, and maintain a clean and sanitized food prep area and kitchen throughout and at the end of shifts.
  • Communication: Maintain open and professional communications with in-house property managers, and respond personally to guest questions and complaints.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve desired Sales, COGS, Labor, and Direct Costs as per Company set targets, and minimize employee turnover.
Requirements
  • Certification: Valid Certification in Food Protection.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience: Experience in creating production par levels, purchasing of all necessary items and supplies, managing all purchases to budget, and managing labor cost to budget.
  • Leadership Skills: Capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory, and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Delegation and Time Management: Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service.
