Job Title: Parts Counter Salesperson

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Salesperson to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling parts to customers, and supporting the service department and body shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting and purchasing parts, providing accurate and timely information on pricing and product availability.
  • Place special orders for parts and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals to identify the correct parts and specifications.
  • Provide pricing and product information to customers, ensuring accurate and transparent communication.
  • Dispense parts to the service department and body shop, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
  • Assist in taking inventory, maintaining accurate records, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Meet departmental production and profitability goals, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in required training and development programs, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of automotive parts, including identification, pricing, and availability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and achieving sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

The Parts Counter Salesperson will work primarily at the parts counter and in the parts department, interacting with customers and colleagues throughout the dealership. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.

Physical Demands:

The job requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. The employee must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
