Position Details:

Job Types: Part-time, PRN/Casual

Compensation: $15/hour for Day shift

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
  • Assist with daily care needs, including routines and meal preparation
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Observe, document, and report on client activities
  • Support clients in their hobbies and educational pursuits
  • Read, write, and follow instructions accurately
  • Report any changes in client health or status
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Perform data entry and manage documentation
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
  • Access to a valid telephone and internet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and other software applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check and criminal background check
Essential Skills:
  • Attention to detail, particularly in following Individual Support Plans
  • Demonstrated integrity and reliability
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including compassion and sensitivity
  • High level of literacy in spoken and written English
  • Ability to transport clients as needed
Work Environment:

Work will take place in clients' homes and various community settings, including medical facilities and recreational areas. Employees should be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve bending, sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying various items to assist clients. Candidates must be able to provide physical support as outlined in the Individual Support Plan.
