Schedule: Weekend Package - Overnight Shifts

Shift Hours: Friday and Saturday 11PM-7:30AM

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Hospice Aide is responsible for ensuring the quality and safe delivery of services to patients in accordance with their personalized care plans, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This role involves:

  • Utilizing equipment and supplies in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Employing a holistic approach that considers the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and safety needs of patients.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and verbally convey clinical information to patients, caregivers, and other hospice staff.
  • Understanding the impact of personal, spiritual, and cultural values on perceptions of death and dying, and their influence on the quality of life.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

Completion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program consisting of a minimum of 75 hours, with no gaps of 24 months without compensation for Home Care Aide/CNA work since completion. A 120-hour nursing assistant course is preferred. A High School diploma or GED is also preferred.

 

Experience:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with regulatory requirements. Preferred candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in hospice care within a nursing or hospice facility.
