Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner

Millennia Housing Management is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Business Partner to support our business objectives and align with employees and management in designated regions or business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate partnerships across regions and the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees.
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations and make recommendations on disciplinary actions.
  • Resolve issues involving discipline, performance, employee concerns, attendance, personnel actions, and employment policies/procedures and laws.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management and HR guidance to regional employees and respective business units.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Talent Development to identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Manage disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration.
  • Conduct Offboarding activities for the assigned region or business unit.
  • Analyze turnover and employee relations data and produce metrics outlining the current state and recommendations.
  • Review performance appraisals as needed; evaluate the appraisal's content to ensure fairness, consistency, accuracy, and legal compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years related experience in Employee Relations, Talent Management, Benefits, Human Resources preferably within the multifamily housing and hospitality industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and effectively establish priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a flair for interacting with new people.
  • A high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, integrated, and team-based environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset to make recommendations and enhance processes.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Leave of Absence administration, return to work Procedures, and job accommodation resources.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws related to benefits, HIPPA, FMLA, ADA, and substance abuse.
