Electrical Engineering & Compliance Manager - Warehouse Automation

Position Summary:

OPEX Corporation is seeking a full-time manager to oversee our Warehouse Automation Electrical Engineering and Compliance team. This role will involve managing electrical engineers, compliance engineers, technicians, and CAD personnel to design, develop, and deliver superior warehouse automation solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and manage team members; establish departmental and individual objectives; oversee staff career development and training; conduct performance assessments.
  • Assume ultimate responsibility for all facets of the department's project deliverables, including design, development, compliance, and documentation.
  • Provide electrical engineering, design compliance, and project management expertise to support project engineering teams, ensuring safety, quality, reliability, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
  • Thoroughly comprehend the scope of new projects, recognizing how that scope is generated and influenced by other disciplines, and identify scope changes.
  • Offer consulting and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex technical electrical engineering challenges in support of your team.
  • Oversee all design compliance activities, providing technical expertise and guidance on intricate compliance issues.
  • Manage staffing and performance within the department to ensure the timely delivery of components, functional elements, and products that meet specifications and market demands.
  • Plan and establish engineering timelines and monitor performance against estimates.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and objectives regarding processes, initiatives, and projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and coordinating the activities of electrical engineers involved in the research, development, design, testing, and evaluation of electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Proven experience in defining and executing engineering compliance programs within a product development organization.
  • Familiarity with various domestic and international compliance engineering requirements, as well as environmental, health, and safety standards; experience with industrial machinery is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage development efforts in a dynamic environment with highly skilled and motivated engineers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
