Role Overview
In this pivotal position, you will oversee an engineering team, which includes evaluating and allocating personnel for various support initiatives. You will be responsible for crafting and managing performance evaluations for team members, as well as nurturing engineering talent to foster an inclusive testing and integration environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing management across various shifts and weekends, with potential travel to different sites as necessary.
- Assessing requirements and executing capital projects aimed at enhancing testing efficiencies and modernizing test equipment.
- Coordinating, budgeting, and implementing support and maintenance plans for both capital and contract testing apparatus.
- Managing technical advancements and Digital Transformation initiatives; promoting and securing funding for innovative concepts that enhance efficiency and facilitate automation and robotics.
- Offering insights and expertise to assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Contributing technical and staffing insights during proposal and capture phases to bolster operations in Integration and Testing.
- Acting as the Test Engineering representative on the Operations Suggestion Review Board.
- Reviewing testing methodologies and software prior to their deployment.
- Participating in critical design and data reviews, as well as SIA events, to provide valuable feedback to program partners.
- Coordinating and managing Information Systems where applicable.
Important Note:
This role necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.
