Job Title: Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Salary: $73,000 per year
Summary: We are seeking a Production Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components on various manufacturing equipment and facilities. The role involves designing and building auxiliary equipment, making repairs to control boards, PLCs, and machine control systems, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from three-phase 208V to millivolt control circuits.
Repair mechanical and pneumatic equipment, often while equipment is operational.
Plan and perform work based on knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles.
Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Advise operators on safe operation procedures and equipment requirements.
Maintain performance and maintenance records for equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed.
Set up production tooling and conduct quality audits.
Perform other duties as required.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and work from elevated areas.
Must possess manual dexterity and coordination to operate tools and machinery.
Occasionally required to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 90 pounds.
Key Skills and Personality Traits:
Ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Strong safety consciousness to identify and prevent hazards.
Education Requirements:
Candidates must have training, certifications, or experience in commercial HVAC or refrigeration, electromechanical programs, forklift and manlift operation, lockout/tagout procedures, rigging and lifting, and five years of industrial experience in the above-mentioned areas.
Language:
English is required, Spanish and Italian are preferred.
