Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Supervisor

Shift Availability:
Day shifts available: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Unit Supervisor takes on the responsibility and accountability for designated core programs.

This role involves providing leadership to all personnel through daily oversight of care within the assigned unit. It is essential to foster a robust working relationship with the supervisor overseeing the clinical care of the unit.

The Unit Supervisor adheres to care standards, manages the environment to ensure resident/patient safety, and oversees resident/patient care activities.

Compliance with all organizational policies and procedures is mandatory, alongside performing duties as outlined by the State Nurse Practice Act.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of Nursing Supervisors and floor staff.
- Deliver direct nursing care to assigned patients/residents within a specific unit.

- Assess patient/resident care needs and provide direct nursing interventions according to the individualized care plan and as directed by the immediate supervisor.

- Maintain communication with families and staff regarding the status of unit residents as necessary.

- Strictly follow safety and infection control protocols, regulations, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care.
- Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) is preferred.
