Key Responsibilities
- Oversees nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and other staff members.
- Reviews and implements nursing protocols and systems.
- Assesses and evaluates the processes that ensure high-quality resident care and staff performance.
- Utilizes a systematic approach in the nursing process to deliver personalized nursing care.
- Contributes to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
- Evaluates residents' responses to nursing interventions.
- Understands the rationale for medication and treatment usage and administers them appropriately.
Qualifications
- Current state nursing licensure is required.
- Current CPR certification and additional specialty nursing certifications are preferred.
- Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is desirable.
