Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and other staff members.
  • Reviews and enforces all nursing protocols and systems.
  • Assesses and evaluates the mechanisms that enhance the delivery of quality care and staff performance.
  • Employs a systematic approach in the nursing process to deliver personalized nursing care.
  • Contributes to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
  • Evaluates residents' responses to nursing interventions.
  • Understands the rationale for medication and treatment use and administers them appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Valid state nursing license is required.
  • Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is advantageous.
