Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Embassy Suites by Hilton. As a key member of our hotel's management team, you will be responsible for directing and administering the planning, preparation, production, and control of all culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and Oversee Culinary Operations: Direct and oversee all culinary operations, including the production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls, and overall profitability.
  • Create and Implement New Menus: Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Monitor and Assess Guest Satisfaction: Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, and make improvements accordingly.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards, and maintain high-quality food and beverage offerings.
  • Perform General Management Duties: Perform general management duties, including systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management, meeting participation, and facilitation.
  • Develop and Lead Team Members: Monitor and develop team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards.
  • Recruit and Train Team Members: Recruit, interview, and train team members to ensure a skilled and motivated culinary team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent culinary skills, knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
