About the Role

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at O-Ku Sushi D.C. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu items that showcase the freshest ingredients and innovative techniques.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management, labor scheduling, and quality control.
  • Financial Management: Work closely with our finance team to manage kitchen budgets, forecasts, and labor costs to ensure profitability.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest has a memorable and exceptional dining experience by providing attentive service, high-quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: 6+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment.
  • Culinary Skills: Proven ability to create innovative and delicious dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of kitchen operations, financial management, and labor laws.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
