- Collect, label, and document specimens accurately and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail during the collection and processing of samples.
- Adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality standards when handling sensitive information, including test results and personal data.
- Operate and maintain drug screening and fingerprinting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Interact with clients and individuals being tested in a courteous and professional manner, providing clear instructions and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Accurately complete necessary documentation, including chain-of-custody forms, test requisitions, and other related paperwork.
- Follow established protocols for sample transportation, storage, and disposal.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations within the testing facility.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to drug screening and fingerprinting procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in a relevant field is a plus.
- Prior experience as a Drug Screen Tech, Fingerprint Tech, or related role is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse individuals.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all aspects of the job.
- Respect for confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to changing procedures, guidelines, and technologies within the field.
