Mathematics Academic Coach

Job Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt, 15-20 hours per week, 10-month position
Location: Longmeadow, MA
Job Summary:
The Mathematics Academic Coach will provide supplemental instruction and guidance to students in the most challenging math courses. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Mathematics and experience providing student support and instruction. The Academic Coach will work collaboratively with individual faculty members in developing supplemental instruction or modules and utilize MyMathLab to provide personalized support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supplemental instruction and guidance to students in the most challenging math courses.
- Contact and schedule regular coaching sessions with assigned students.
- Develop mathematics modules to embed in non-math courses to support course content.
- Work collaboratively with individual faculty members in developing supplemental instruction or modules.
- Utilize MyMathLab to provide personalized support to students.
- Attend trainings as required.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the University.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Mathematics.
- Experience providing student support and instruction.
- Working knowledge of MyMathLab software program.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with HIPPA and FERPA.
- Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
