The Department: FinanceThe Role: Associate Director, Payroll

Gemini seeks an experienced Associate Director, Payroll with strong skills in payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance. The successful candidate will manage the full-cycle processing of US and international payroll, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the team responsible for semi-monthly or monthly payroll processing.
  • Partner with our payroll software provider to optimize system functionality and automate processes.
  • Implement and maintain payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Manage tax and benefits compliance, including federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance payroll operational efficiency and implement internal controls.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing and accounting analysis.
  • Experience in managing high-performing teams and leading ad-hoc projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are preferred.

The compensation package for this role includes:

  • A competitive starting salary between $158,000 - $198,000 in New York, California, or Washington.
