Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst

Job Summary:

Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Credit Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing risk management strategies, analyzing data, and making recommendations to mitigate risk and increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate credit risk and increase profitability.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve credit risk analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement credit risk models.
  • Provide guidance on model usage to internal underwriting teams.
  • Lead discussions and project plans for third-party analyses and model development.
  • Propose improvements to automated credit decision models.
  • Develop risk-based pricing analytics.
  • Review company credit/risk policy documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a preferred area of study - Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Information Management, or Statistics.
  • Specific risk management experience preferred (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and engage with a diverse audience.
  • Technical understanding of database data models, data mining, and data segmentation techniques.

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel required.

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment.
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

Commitment to Internal Control:

The Senior Risk Analyst, Credit Planning is required to possess a comprehensive understanding of and adhere to the system of internal controls associated with the fundamental duties and responsibilities of the role. This includes compliance with SOX and all other pertinent regulatory and compliance policies and requirements.
