Job Title: Assistant General Manager

At Goldfish Swim School - Columbia, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our swim lessons by managing and motivating a successful team, coordinating and reviewing class schedules, and ensuring the school is set up for success at every lesson.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a positive staff culture from day one and offer open, honest communication in a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Build a team who provides the same quality work as you and do quality work yourself by cross-training in multiple roles, substituting when necessary, and representing Goldfish Swim School's core values.
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure the school is running according to Goldfish Swim School's standard operating procedures.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to staff and stay on track with quarterly and annual enrollment goals and any subsequent goals intended to measure success.
  • Create and implement a plan of action when quarterly and annual goals are off track.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to swim and pass a basic swim test (50 yards) to earn lifeguard CPR & AED certification.
  • Must direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures for the school.
  • Must have schedule availability that includes some weekday evenings (until 8:30pm) and at least one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shift per workweek and the ability to work the same scheduled days every week.

  • Guaranteed base salary starting at $50,000-52,000.
  • Bonus structure up to $3,000 per quarter, based on set goals.
