Role Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Recovery Support Specialist will collaborate with our clinical and support teams to offer tailored assistance to individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Drawing on personal experience and specialized training, the Recovery Support Specialist will support members on their recovery journey, helping them access resources, develop coping strategies, and maintain motivation toward their recovery objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized peer support to individuals with SUD, utilizing personal recovery experiences to inspire members.
  • Create customized recovery plans in partnership with members, emphasizing their distinct strengths and requirements.
  • Work alongside clinical and support teams to ensure a cohesive, integrated approach to member care.
  • Document member interactions, progress, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
  • Advocate for members, assisting them in accessing vital community resources and services.
  • Engage in continuous training and professional development to remain updated on best practices in peer recovery support.
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new team members.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.

Success Indicators:

  • High levels of member satisfaction and engagement, as reflected in survey results and retention metrics.
  • Effective development and execution of individualized recovery plans for members.
  • Positive outcomes demonstrated by member progress in reaching recovery goals.
  • Successful collaboration with clinical and support teams, leading to integrated and comprehensive care for members.
  • Timely and precise documentation of all member interactions and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Recovery Support Specialist.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing peer support to individuals with SUD.
  • Personal experience with substance use recovery, showcasing a strong commitment to the recovery process.
  • In-depth understanding of recovery principles, techniques, and best practices, including motivational interviewing and stages of change.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with members.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in navigating complex care systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.).
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all member interactions.

The target hourly wage for this role is between $32.00 and $39.60, accompanied by a competitive total rewards package that includes stock options and benefits. Individual compensation may vary based on experience, location, internal equity, and other relevant business factors. We conduct annual reviews of employee compensation to ensure fairness and competitiveness.
