  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating discussions with individuals considering treatment options.
  • Encouraging clients to engage in treatment and healthcare services.
  • Providing ongoing support for individuals after discharge from treatment.
  • Promoting awareness of available social and community support services.
  • Demonstrating effective coping strategies.
  • Assisting clients in navigating the benefits application process.
  • Accompanying clients to legal and medical appointments.
  • Offering non-clinical crisis intervention, particularly following hospitalization or incarceration.
  • Collaborating with participants to identify their strengths and resources.
  • Connecting participants with formal recovery support systems.
  • Educating clients about diverse recovery methodologies.
  • Providing training for independent public transportation use.
  • Offering guidance on medication-assisted treatment options.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or CRPA-P is necessary.
  • CASAC certification will also be considered.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an outpatient or mental health/substance abuse environment.
  • Familiarity with various recovery systems and approaches is essential.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to establish rapport with clients.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage.
