The Surgical Support Technician will operate under the guidance of the Hospital Services Manager and Clinical Supervisor, collaborating closely with our surgical team to ensure a superior client experience and optimal patient care. Key responsibilities include welcoming clients, gathering medical histories, accurately documenting information in our hospital management system, educating pet owners, assisting with diagnostic imaging (including radiographs, ultrasounds, and CT scans), performing venipuncture, and supporting the surgical team as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Skilled in venipuncture, patient restraint, conducting laboratory tests, taking radiographs, maintaining comprehensive patient records, and administering medications and first aid.
- Strong interpersonal abilities with a knack for fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications.
- Capable of identifying when to seek assistance in client-related matters outside standard protocols.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM, with potential adjustments communicated in advance.

- Competitive pay ranging from $20 to $35, depending on skills assessment and credentialing.
- Higher compensation available for Veterinary Technicians Specialists (VTS).
- Sign-on bonuses of up to $2000 available after 90 days of employment:
- Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: Up to $1000 sign-on bonus.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: Up to $2000 sign-on bonus.
