Job Description

Norman's Gift Shops, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our new location in The Metroplex Shopping Center. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Infuse our customer-centric culture into the store's daily operations, ensuring that every customer interaction is personalized, engaging, and memorable.
  • Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in managing the general operations of the store, including event planning, shipment processing, merchandising, and promotion management.
  • Team Development: Assist in developing and training staff on new products, processes, and sales techniques to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate a professional and unbiased leadership style, providing guidance and support to team members in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Technical Skills: Develop proficiency in our point-of-sale software system to ensure accuracy with inventory, sales, and markdowns.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to support the store's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of retail supervisory experience and 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • Skills: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job.
