About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Deli and Prepared Foods team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth in this critical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of deli and prepared foods associates, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving products, to ensure that the department is always fully stocked and that products are rotated to minimize waste.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare and display products in a visually appealing manner, ensuring that they are fresh and of high quality.
  • Operations: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures related to food safety and sanitation.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth in the deli and prepared foods department, including promoting products and services to customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a deli or prepared foods department, with a proven track record of success in leading a team and driving sales growth.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to lead and motivate a team; strong inventory management and product preparation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
