Position Summary:

The Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and coordinating the efforts of personnel responsible for the upkeep and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment within the facility. This role demands a diligent individual with a robust work ethic and a commitment to excellence in a dynamic work environment, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate employee development through coaching and accountability.
  • Establish and execute preventive maintenance strategies through regular inspections and assessments.
  • Ensure the functionality and reliability of facility systems by implementing comprehensive maintenance programs.
  • Foster teamwork by creating shared objectives and maintaining open communication.
  • Manage budgetary requirements and track expenses throughout the operational cycle.
  • Oversee the scheduling of maintenance tasks and coordinate with operational teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance crew efficiency.
  • Analyze equipment performance and assist in resolving operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with various departments to synchronize maintenance activities.
  • Evaluate system performance by engaging with operational teams to identify needs and issues.
  • Work closely with engineering on capital project development and execution.
  • Coordinate vendor training and support as necessary.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Investigate safety incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and maintain proper documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and service quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical background in high-volume industrial manufacturing, particularly with packaging equipment.
  • Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High mechanical and electrical aptitude with effective communication and mentoring abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a commitment to quality.
  • Proactive approach to equipment and operational responsibilities.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work off-shifts and extended hours as needed.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), with Oracle experience being a plus.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and equipment optimization.
  • Knowledge of 5S principles and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize KPIs for performance measurement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion and simplify complex challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on task prioritization and quality control.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $94,000, which may include a discretionary bonus based on skills and experience.
