About the Role
At Equipment Depot, we're seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact with potential customers, you'll play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying leads, building relationships, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to understand customer needs and preferences
- Generate new sales opportunities through lead generation and prospecting
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and engage sales executives for next steps
- Identify best practices to refine our lead generation process and improve sales performance
- Collaborate with sales teams to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track progress, and analyze sales data
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and branch management
- Provide regular updates and insights to sales leadership and management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets
- Strong communication, persuasion, active listening, time management, and negotiation skills
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a professional sales organization
- Current, valid driver's license with relatively clean driving record
