Position Overview:

The HVAC Sales Specialist is an external sales role focused on expanding Service Experts' commercial sales and services to drive revenue growth through effective customer engagement and lead generation. Key responsibilities include promoting HVAC Preventive Maintenance and Planned Unit Replacement Programs to a variety of local and regional businesses, including sectors such as finance, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, property management, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops local Preventative Maintenance contracts in targeted vertical markets using various prospecting methods such as cold calling, referrals, and networking.
  • Generates sales for commercial replacements, retrofits, and service contracts through effective prospecting techniques.
  • Collaborates with branch and regional managers to address customer needs.
  • Maintains accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using a CRM system.
  • Upholds the company’s reputation by demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all business dealings.
  • Consults with commercial clients to assess HVAC and indoor air quality requirements, delivering tailored sales presentations and closing deals that align with customer budgets.
  • Prepares proposals and communicates technical information in an accessible manner.
  • Utilizes marketing data and tools to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is completed and signed by customers.
  • Actively nurtures relationships with key commercial clients to support ongoing business.
  • Coordinates with internal teams to ensure timely and satisfactory project completion.
  • Updates company systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities and outcomes.
  • Aims to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators such as revenue growth, close rates, lead generation, and service agreement sales.
  • Effectively addresses customer concerns to ensure total satisfaction.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated sales experience with a focus on business-to-business interactions, cold calling, and lead generation.
  • Familiarity with commercial service sales concepts and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, contact management software, and CRM databases.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Able to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with technical and administrative teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for personal and professional growth.

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems and related components.
