The Building Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of facilities. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general maintenance activities including plumbing, carpentry, and office furniture assembly.
  • Perform routine inspections of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Assist with minor groundskeeping and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of experience in facilities maintenance or relevant training.
  • Ability to diagnose basic plumbing, electrical, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Competence in basic mathematical operations including fractions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with power and hand tools, with a list provided upon hiring.
  • Basic computer skills for work order entry and repair research.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • General maintenance experience is a plus.
