Key Responsibilities:

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading, planning, and directing the entire store team. You will oversee all functional areas of the store, ensuring financial performance, executing company initiatives, managing staffing, controlling inventory, and adhering to company standards.

You will retain accountability for all aspects of the store while delegating tasks and operational activities to other leaders. Your role will involve supervising, inspecting, training, and coaching these leaders to achieve all set goals and tasks.

Occasionally, you may need to assist with freight processing, stock shelves, or engage in other aspects of the freight flow and merchandising process. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to management tasks.


Essential Duties:
  1. Plan, lead, direct, and utilize all operational and financial resources to meet established objectives.
  2. Use company reports and tools to evaluate efficiency, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for store performance enhancement.
  3. Lead all store processes in alignment with company standards, including freight flow, merchandise presentation, and customer service.
  4. Supervise all furniture department operations, including sales processes and merchandising standards.
  5. Manage scheduling and payroll processing on a daily and weekly basis.
  6. Drive staffing efforts, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance in collaboration with the leadership team.
  7. Administer appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with company guidelines.
  8. Oversee customer service and associate recognition programs, ensuring compliance and completing necessary training.
  9. Direct merchandising initiatives and ensure accurate reconciliation of inventory transactions.
  10. Serve as Manager on Duty, opening and closing the store, while providing leadership to floor associates and ensuring standards are met.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. Must be at least 18 years old.
  2. A minimum of five years of retail management experience is preferred.
  3. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  4. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members to consistently achieve company goals.
  5. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
  6. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  7. Availability to work a flexible schedule of at least 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Willingness to travel between stores, including potential overnight stays.
  9. Demonstrated visual merchandising skills are required.
  10. Basic literacy in English, along with math and PC skills, is necessary.
