Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for executing engineering tasks related to the planning and design of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment. This role includes overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement cost-effective modifications to enhance safety and reliability.
2. Conduct design work for new construction and renovation projects.
3. Interpret and adapt engineering methods to create design calculations, layouts, and specifications that align with project goals.
4. Perform construction inspections and quality control assessments.
5. Generate cost estimates and project timelines.
6. Review and analyze designs for technical efficiency.
7. Prepare technical documentation, including reports and contract documents.
8. Act as a technical representative during contract negotiations.
9. Monitor and manage engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must:
- Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, with US Citizenship required.
- Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering; a licensed mechanical engineer is preferred.
- Have a minimum of four years of relevant design experience, including HVAC load determination and plumbing design.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or later.
- Possess strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
