Cardinal Engineering LLC Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Engineer to join our team at Cardinal Engineering LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse range of projects, from surface ship power and propulsion development to advanced imaging systems and sophisticated Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct design, development, and analysis activities to advance technical initiatives in our broad portfolio.
  • Develop solutions to marine engineering challenges in the electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering domains.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements documentation, design information, source code, schematics, drawings, digital models, test plans, and procedures.
  • Support internal and external technical reviews as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or other technical disciplines.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong desire to learn, robust problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work well without supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and experience with programming in Python and Matlab.
