About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Bernward Mechanical. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage and oversee mechanical projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets using project management software, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • RFI and Submittal Review: Review and approve RFI's and submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Obtain and analyze proposals from multiple vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; negotiate costs, manage contracts, and oversee work.
  • Change Order Management: Manage all change orders, including documentation, cost estimates, negotiations, and execution.
  • Site Visits and Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan and quality standards are met.
  • Project Documentation and Record-Keeping: Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping, providing regular project status updates to senior management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 10+ years of trade experience; 5+ years of experience in MEP Project Management.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; knowledge of industry standards and regulations; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
