CORPORATE BANKING RELATIONSHIP MANAGER II

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This role involves developing and overseeing relationships with significant corporate clients, typically those with revenues exceeding $500 million, within designated business segments or geographic regions.

The position requires presenting a diverse range of product solutions tailored to client needs while ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will manage the overall profitability of relationships and assess portfolio risks, focusing on the profitable growth of assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, and strengthen profitable relationships with potential and existing clients, aligning with the bank's strategic objectives.
  • Engage proactively with clients to uphold the bank's credit quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive solutions to clients, while representing the bank in community and industry events.
  • Develop a Relationship Plan and calling schedule for each client or prospect, in line with the strategic business development framework.
  • Identify business opportunities and solicit referrals for additional bank products and services.
  • Gain a deep understanding of client businesses and industries to enhance customer engagement efforts.
  • Conduct meetings with clients to discuss financing options and assess their financial needs.
  • Facilitate transactions by coordinating with product specialists and ensuring compliance with bank policies.
  • Exercise sound judgment in credit decisions and recommend approvals for transactions exceeding authority limits.
  • Participate in civic and community activities to enhance the bank's visibility and reputation.
  • Monitor and analyze account activities to determine client profitability and make recommendations for account management.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive products and market conditions to inform strategic decisions.
  • Address any credit issues by collaborating with clients to devise solutions that mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in a Relationship Manager role, with at least 4 years of credit experience.
  • Strong sales management and business development capabilities.
  • Proficient in fostering and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial credit policies and bank operations.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with senior partners.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in navigating complex situations.

Compensation: The starting base salary ranges from $122,535 to $208,715 annually, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
