Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Finance Attorney to bolster our legal team. The selected candidate will be tasked with offering expert legal counsel to clients on intricate financial transactions, compliance issues, and litigation matters. The ideal applicant will possess a profound comprehension of both finance and legal principles, alongside exceptional analytical and communication abilities, coupled with a robust business insight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert legal guidance to clients on sophisticated financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and derivatives.
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships, aligning with their business objectives and providing customized legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as accountants, bankers, and investment advisors, to furnish comprehensive support to clients.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to pinpoint risks and devise innovative solutions to legal challenges.
  • Draft and negotiate intricate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
  • Remain informed on the latest trends in finance law and regulatory updates, adapting swiftly to evolving circumstances.
  • Engage in business development efforts, identifying new prospects and cultivating relationships with key figures in the finance sector.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree from a prestigious law school.
  • 8+ years of experience in finance law within a leading law firm or financial institution.
  • Robust understanding of finance and law, encompassing securities, banking, and tax regulations.
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven capability to operate under pressure, managing multiple transactions concurrently.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with financial concepts and instruments.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Excellent research and writing capabilities.
  • Able to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Passion for finance law and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in private equity or hedge funds.
  • Knowledge of pertinent financial regulations and changes.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
