Your Role at MKS Instruments:

As a Senior Accountant at MKS Instruments, you will collaborate with fellow team members to gather financial data for both external and internal reporting purposes. Your responsibilities will encompass the financial closing process, aiding in the preparation of quarterly SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), and presenting opportunities for ongoing enhancement initiatives.

Your Contributions Will Include:
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including footnotes, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and XBRL compliance
  • Assisting in the creation of comprehensive financial statements and schedules for earnings announcements
  • Investigating technical accounting matters, including relevant accounting standards, and documenting findings
  • Facilitating external and internal audit processes by responding to schedule requests and conducting internal control assessments
  • Contributing to the annual goodwill impairment evaluation
  • Engaging in various management projects and ad hoc reporting as required
Qualifications You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is essential
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (public accounting experience is advantageous)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and interpret data from diverse sources to identify issues and propose effective solutions
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with all levels of management across the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Public Accounting is preferred
  • CPA certification is desirable
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Enterprise/HFM, Oracle/SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Previous experience in an external financial reporting capacity is a plus
