Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Outside Plant Telecommunications Construction Planner to manage and enhance outside plant fiber infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and rectifying as-built designs for complex fiber networking, particularly in Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Skill Level 1:

  • Entry-level technicians or those returning after a hiatus from telecommunications.
  • Deliver high-quality integration services and exceptional customer support.
  • Work under the guidance of more experienced technicians.
  • Perform basic installation tasks, including tool identification and safe usage.
  • Assist in mechanical and electrical assembly as directed.

Skill Level 2:

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience.
  • Execute advanced integration services and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train junior technicians.
  • Conduct cabinet and rack installations, as well as cable management tasks.
  • Perform basic DC power installations and cable continuity testing.

Skill Level 3:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Lead technician responsibilities with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Oversee and assign tasks to junior technicians.
  • Prepare and analyze job documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Skill Level 4:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications.
  • Lead field operations and manage project execution.
  • Conduct advanced installations and configurations.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
  • Engage in equipment testing and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and self-motivation.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong organizational mindset.

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed.

This position offers competitive hourly wages, commensurate with experience, along with additional benefits.
