Pet Insurance Claims Specialist

At Companion Protect, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pet Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Pet Insurance Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the claims process from receiving the claim through approval and payment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the claims process from receiving the claim through approval and payment.
- Handle all customers with the highest level of professionalism providing world-class customer service.
- Provide guidance to customers to facilitate understanding of recommended treatments and associated coverages.
- Monitor, track, and report on claims submitted.
- Interact with veterinary clinics and customers to ensure timely responses to questions and claim resolution.
- Meet or exceed all partner and Companion Protect, LLC standards for timeliness, accuracy, and claims volume.
- Create and document processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improved system processes.
- Evaluate issues outside the scope of claims responsibility but necessary to the process of payment, directing the issues to the appropriate department with follow-up to ensure resolution of the issue resulting in claim payment.
- All other duties as assigned including processing of insurance applications, managing customer failed payments and light technical support to clients.
Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience as an Insurance Claims Representative or experience in the Veterinary Clinics or related field.
- State issued Claims Adjuster License.
- Experienced in communication with customers via phone, email, chat, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience learning and using new technology.
- High school diploma required.
