Position Overview:

Your Role:

As a cloud engineer on our team, you will leverage your development expertise to enhance our software development lifecycle, utilizing the latest cloud-native managed services. You will spearhead initiatives to integrate open-source tools, automation, and infrastructure as code, employing Agile methodologies to create enterprise solutions that streamline the secure transition of code from concept to production. Collaborating with top-tier teams, you will implement continuous integration and deployment strategies that significantly reduce the time required to deliver critical applications and services to the intelligence systems of our nation. This role offers an opportunity to expand your skill set in areas such as Agile development, cloud-based solutions, containerization, and serverless architecture while contributing to software that bolsters national security.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud application development
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications at an enterprise level
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS
  • 5+ years of experience in microservices and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and deploying microservice architectures
  • Experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the cloud
  • Proficiency in scripting languages
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of starting

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM
  • Experience in securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers
  • Knowledge of application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions through methods such as clustering or failover
  • Experience in application performance analysis and monitoring tools, including ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Experience with Agile release methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field
  • Certifications such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC
  • Certifications in Kubernetes Application Development, Kubernetes Administration, or Terraform Associate

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

Compensation:

At Booz Allen, we recognize your contributions and provide opportunities for growth and well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually, based on various factors including location and individual qualifications.
