The Gaming Cashier at Colonial Downs Group LLC plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to guests by managing the redemption of gaming tickets, sports wagering vouchers, and facilitating cash transactions.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential for this position, and while not exhaustive, they represent the core functions:

  • Customer Transactions: Efficiently handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate change is provided and addressing customer inquiries with professionalism.
  • Wager Management: Process sports wagers and redeem sports betting vouchers for cash.
  • Financial Accountability: Maintain accurate records of assigned funds, ensuring the cash drawer is balanced and secure throughout the shift.
  • Identification Verification: Confirm and document personal identification for check and cash advance transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complete necessary forms such as CTRs, W2Gs, and MTLs as required.
  • Customer Relations: Foster positive interactions with guests to enhance their overall experience.
  • Player Account Management: Track and issue player cards, redeem points for cash or prizes, and assist with account inquiries.
  • Event Support: Assist in the execution of gaming tournaments and special events, including registration and guest engagement.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety of guests and team members at all times.
  • Promotional Assistance: Support promotional activities and special events as needed.
Performance Standards

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience of at least six months in cashiering or banking.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, engage in walking, and perform tasks that may involve lifting up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
