Job Overview

The Revenue Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records by computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with regulations in Revenue Audit and for reporting any discrepancies to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate daily analysis reports pertaining to customer loyalty programs.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of jackpot documentation between accounting systems and cash handling operations using advanced spreadsheet tools.
  • Examine various audit reports generated from the financial system for each gaming day.
  • Accurately compile, process, and organize documents that substantiate business transactions in a timely manner.
  • Cross-verify revenue reports from the gaming accounting system against state revenue reports.
  • Prepare and distribute the daily Meter Win Report to senior management via email.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of all cash transaction slips.
  • Conduct daily audits of cash handling reports to ensure accuracy in cash movements.
  • Maintain accurate employee signature records.
  • Audit daily reports related to cash storage and revenue generation.
  • Review documentation for front desk, food and beverage, and valet service cashiers.
  • Prepare daily reports for Food & Beverage operations to monitor performance.
  • Organize and file documents in designated locations.
  • Ensure compliance with key control procedures.
  • Manage the inventory, issuance, auditing, and retention of operational documents.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during their assessments.
  • Assist stakeholders by providing information related to accounts and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Consistently uphold the company's service standards.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compliance Responsibilities:

All team members are expected to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Participating in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses.
  • Conducting duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring that minors are not permitted in gambling areas.
  • Understanding the regulations and policies relevant to the department.
  • Being aware of programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Reporting any observed misconduct.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Licenses: Virginia Racing Commission License and a valid driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform essential functions, including sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. The employee may need to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
