Position Overview

Compensation - $23.34/hr

Key Responsibilities for Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Leadership and Training:
    • Oversee and mentor housekeeping staff, including room attendants and public area cleaners.
    • Ensure team members execute their responsibilities effectively while upholding high cleanliness standards.
    • Inspire and guide staff to deliver exceptional service to guests.
    • Maintain well-stocked linen closets and provide assistance as necessary.
  • Carpet and Upholstery Maintenance:
    • Manage the carpet care program.
    • Train staff on the use of carpet cleaning equipment.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure carpets are well-maintained.
    • Collaborate with floor supervisors to ensure guest room furniture upholstery is clean.
  • Water Supply Management:
    • Supervise daily water supply inventory.
    • Ensure a sufficient supply of fresh water for guest comfort.
    • Manage inventory of bottles and caps.
  • Amenities Replenishment Program:
    • Implement and manage the amenities replenishment initiative.
    • Oversee inventory management once the program is fully operational.
    • Supervise the recycling efforts for used bottles, soaps, and coffee pods.
  • Equipment Maintenance Oversight:
    • Supervise maintenance programs for cribs, rollaway beds, vacuums, etc.
    • Ensure these items are functioning properly and visually appealing.
    • Maintain necessary parts and supplies for the aforementioned items.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of experience in roles such as house attendant, guest runner, or public area attendant preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic reading and counting skills are essential; proficiency in Excel and Word is preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members through foundational skills.
  • Aptitude for fostering a positive work environment, even in challenging conditions.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to ensure attention to detail, efficiency, and a cooperative atmosphere.
  • Must possess the skills necessary to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with regulations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with precision and speed.
  • Capacity to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and organize workstations with required supplies.
  • Replenish supplies as needed during shifts.
  • Report any equipment issues, supply shortages, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
  • Prepare work areas for the next shift as assigned.
  • Successfully complete the training and certification process for this role.
