Mixology Assistant, Luxury Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Barback to join our team at Fairmont Century Plaza. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and attention to our guests, while ensuring the highest standards of preparation and presentation of beverages.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service: Exceed guest expectations by interacting in a way that makes them feel special through proper and friendly service.
- Assist Bartenders: Assist the bartenders with all steps of service to help prioritize the guest experience, be proactive by assisting co-workers, support and assist Managers.
- Bar Preparation: Work directly with the prep team and the kitchen to ensure that the bar is prepared to service standards and stocking and breaking down the bar for service.
- Ambassador: Be an ambassador for the department, the property, and the brand, and maintain accountability, both personal and financial.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar prep area and bar, control cost and waste.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of menu and food preparation techniques.
- Property Knowledge: Be proficient with all aspects and services of the property and familiar with all food outlets and amenities within the property, and be knowledgeable of general city information as well as hotel history.
- Food and Beverage Service: Able to run food to tables and guests when necessary and clear excess dishes on table to maintain clean and orderly appearance, including any and all trash, dirty dishes, and glassware, IRD carts, or similar from public spaces.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: $20.75 per hour.

- Previous Experience: Previous experience in customer service and experience as barback in a high-volume luxury environment required.

- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
